“This is actually the second in a series ("Dreamers") the first being "Dreams in Red". I started with the sky, being entranced by an image of a moonlit night sky with darkly silhouetted trees in front. Then came the idea of swans flying silently in the night. Then came the floating figure as a projection of the sleeping figure. The feeling conveyed by this is indescribably ethereal to me, and that is what I am trying to convey to the viewer. The beautiful dreamer in the foreground is of course a primary focus. I also was obsessed with the simple color palette of only silver and blue (excepting the skin tones), using all metallic paints.” Erik
