"Tilli was looking forward to a special event at her elementary school; a father and daughter
night featuring a state-of-the-art marionette show. It was a chance to spend some quality time with her dad. Tilli loved marionettes and puppets and would draw them in her special notebook in her spare time. The evening came. Tilli and her dad were able to get front row seats. The show was fantastic with many performances from all kinds of marionettes with wonderful music and incredible story lines. For the grand finale an enchanting marionette entered the stage with a fantastic dance. Her movements were perfection, so life-like that everyone in the audience cheered with great enthusiasm! Tilli grabbed her father’s arm and whispered in his ear that that particular marionette looked identical to herself. Her father looked closer and was astonished to discover how close the features matched his daughter’s appearance, the marionette even had red hair in a ponytail, just like his daughter! It was remarkable! She even wore the same cute designer outfit! As the marionette was turned toward the crowd she curtseyed and the show ended. The master puppeteer who owned this particular puppet carefully wrapped her strings and placed her in her box. Tilli begged her dad to search backstage until she could find the look-a-like puppet. Tilli had to find her. Finally, after searching for some time, the master puppeteer was found and negotiations began. After some heated discussions Tilli’s dad made an offer that couldn’t be refused and Tilli was handed the precious box. She hugged her dad as they walked toward the car for the trip home. Tilli knew she would treasure this special marionette forever but most of all she was able to share a very magical memory with her dad."
